Is it ok to mix different products?

Generally speaking, there is no problem mixing together herbal products.

What is homeopathy?

The name "Homeopathy" literally means the treatment of disease using a substance which has the power to provoke similar symptoms when administered to a healthy body - treating "like with like".  A homepathic remedy is an extremely pure, natural substance that has been diluted many times.  In large quantities these substances would cause the same symptoms that are trying to be cured.  In small pure undiluted doses it is not only safe and free from side effects, but it will trigger the body to heal itself.

How do I know if my horse will eat herbs?

Most experiences show that horses or ponies will eat and enjoy herbs, but it is a good idea to introduce herbs gradually as you would other feedstuffs.  You can if necessary dampen the feed with water or sugar beet to encourage the horse to eat and don't forget that most herbal remedies are available in liquid form that will be eated by the most fussy horses and ponies.

How much should I feed?

For most of the standard herbs eg Garlic, Spearmint, there should be a guide on the label. For most of the specialist herbs, a quantity of 20 – 30 grams per day is the usual amount, depending on the size of your horse or pony. For dried herbs, an absorption period of approx 3 weeks should be allowed and with liquid herbs, an absorption period of 5-10 days should be allowed. After this, you should find that for ongoing maintenance, a smaller amount of approx 15 grams per day of dried herbs will be sufficient for your horse or pony to benefit over a long period.
Can my horse become addicted to herbs?

No - your horse will not become dependent on the herbs.

What are the benefits of no-rinse Sloshwash?

For competition riders and in particular for showing, Sloshwash is a must to remove surface dirt, sweat and bacteria.  Also fantastic after exercise and with only ½ bucket of water, 50ml of Sloshwash and a sweat scraper, the job is done in no time at all.  Cooling Sloshwash will calm and refresh your horse after travelling too.

How does magnetic therapy work?

Magnetic therapy affects the iron component of the blood and therefore increases the circulation, thereby helping any conditions where an increase in blood flow will be of benefit.  The magnet field provides energy and extra oxygen in the white blood cells which help with their main function as the fighters of infection, thus decreasing the amount of pain and inflammation and aiding the body to recover.

Random Testimonial

There are very few people in serious competition who don't use it now and there's no doubt it can be of benefit. Scientifically, it's still somewhat controversial. There's a lot of anecdotal evidence from people who find that a horse who has been wearing a rug with magnets is a lot looser to ride straight out of the box.
